Our History

Hello Bake & Cake lovers! We know you are curious about the people behind these delicious and gorgeous sweets. Bake & Cake Brussels is a small mom-and-pop business founded in September 2018 by a family of six, our mother, father, and 4 siblings. After we relocated to Belgium, our family fell in love with the Belgian chocolates and French pastries surrounding us.
Our story started when we first tried to find a birthday cake for our little brother’s birthday party, but we wanted to customize the design and flavour of the cake too. So, our determined mother, who before becoming a full-time cake designer, gave 25+ years of her life to teaching, decided to take the initiative and bake all of our birthday cakes herself.

She always had the magical touch in cooking, but these cakes she made for us were something different! They were incredibly fresh, had the perfect Belgian chocolate ratio, and were stunningly beautiful! We were amazed by her natural gift and desire of making cakes. Since she was having a career shift, our family convinced her that she should pursue her dreams in the cake designing business and that she had the full support of the family. Since then, the taste, design and elegance of the cakes has grown to what it is today.

Our mother took professional cake design courses from Belgian, French, Italian and Spanish chefs and obtained many certificates to make baking and caking her full-time job.
